SUMMITS INFORMATION

Since 2004 members of the team have climbed the following mountains:

 

  • World’s Highest Freestanding Mountain– Kilimanjaro
  • Highest Mountain in Africa – Kilimanjaro
  • World’s Highest Active Volcano – Cotopaxi
  • World’s Highest Mountain outside the Himalayas – Aconcagua
  • Highest Mountain in the America’s - Aconcagua
  • Highest Mountain in Europe – Elbrus
  • Highest Mountain in North Africa – Jebel Toubkal
  • Highest Mountain in Slovenian Alps – Triglav
  • Highest Mountain in Oceania – Carstensz Pyramid
  • Highest mountain in North America - Denali (McKinley)

 

On 25th January 2005 Stuart Smith and John Robson stood on top of Cotopaxi and were the nearest people on Earth to the sun!

 

Members of the team have climbed several other summits including Mont Blanc (Alps), Stok Kangri, Island Peak and Broad Peak (Himalayas), Mount Fuji (Japan), Victoria Peak (Hong Kong), Kinabalu (Borneo) etc. In 2008 some members of the team climbed Kilimanjaro (again), Elbrus (again), Triglav (Slovenia) and Carstensz Pyramid (4884m), the highest peak in Indonesia and Australasia. Denali, Aconcagua, Kilimanjaro, Elbrus and Carstensz are five of the world’s seven continental summits.
